❤️🚂 Parley League: Building Community Beyond the Classroom!
Parley League is about so much more than sports. It’s about building relationships, strengthening connections between families and schools, and creating a sense of belonging for every child. When students and families connect with trusted school staff in a fun, welcoming environment, those relationships grow stronger — and our entire school community benefits.
Coburn’s Ultimate Kickball night at the EHS softball field was a perfect example! More than 200 kids, families, and community members came together for an incredible evening. We loved seeing cousins from Hendy and Beecher join the fun, along with EDA siblings who are former Coburn students. Once part of the Coburn Crew, always part of the family! ❤️
A huge thank-you to the Elmira Booster Club for helping make these opportunities possible. We’re proud to see Parley League bringing our school community together, one great night at a time!

This week, we celebrated our very first Coburn Quest with games, cookies and a whole lot of Parley Coburn school pride!
Coburn Quest is a school-wide recognition program that celebrates students who go above and beyond in showing kindness, leadership, responsibility, perseverance and our Coburn Crew Attributes.
Each month, students vote on a reward, then work toward earning a coveted Quest wristband by demonstrating great character and making positive choices. Congratulations to our first Quest Kids! We are proud of you and the example you set for others!
The first Quest is complete... now the countdown to our next adventure begins! ❤️🚂 #GoExpress

EARLY Mindfulness Daily @ Work registration is OPEN: Forty guided sessions. Ten to fifteen minutes a day. Taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, two of the most respected mindfulness teachers in the world. Staff get 78 days to finish, so a missed day, or even a missed week, won't set anyone back.

Express Cart Food for Home | Now Available for the 2026-2027 School Year!
Express Cart, in partnership with the Food Services Department and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, is an Instacart style food program for Elmira families needing a central order and pick up service for family groceries. There is no cost to families for this program.
Order by Noon on September 28, 2026 for pick-up on October 1, 2026

For the 11th year, Express Athletics is excited to welcome young athletes to experience a variety of sports for a weeklong, FUN camp lead by our Express Varsity Coaches and teams. At Parley Coburn, we believe every student deserves the chance to pause, reflect, and grow. That’s why we launched Parley Pause Time—a restorative, relationship-based support program run through our Dean of Students’ office. Meeting three mornings a week, it helps students start their day with structure, connection, and a focus on positive attendance.
Students use journals tied to Coburn Community Attributes, and build skills through restorative conversations. Just as importantly, they form strong relationships—whether through games, conversation, or simply spending time together. Students set goals and celebrate progress with incentives like Coburn Candy Fridays.
Since launching this year, we’ve seen meaningful growth. Pause Time reflects our commitment to helping every student feel supported, connected, and successful. #GoExpress
